The South Florida Role Model Foundation (SFRMF) will host a variety of camps, clinics and workshops each summer. The Ambassador Academy's mission is to carry out higher education programs to service the Tri- counties. Our Summer Program supports this mission by preparing these young men to take full advantage of over 80 years of experiences provided to them by SFRMF. Every moment they use the South Florida Role Model’s facilities, interact with non-student staff, and discuss their experiences with friends they become convinced college or trade school is their future. The life skills students learn directly translate to becoming not only a productive member of society but an Ambassador of their communities.
Sarah Brown Weitzman, a Pushcart Prize nominee, has have had close to three hundred poems published over the years in numerous journals such as Rattle, The Mid-American Review, The Windless Orchard, The North American Review, Poet Lore, Potomac Review, etc. She received a Fellowship from the National Endowment the Art

Have we all had negative encounters with Law Enforcement? Yes, but we are here to change the narrative.
We want our community to know that you can make it! Law enforcement isn’t out to get us. It is extremely important that we provide a positive example of how to interact with Law Enforcement and in public. We want to be there to help young men tie their first tie, or just sit down and be a good listener for a parent that is struggling with an adolescent. We are here to help because we were there.
The South Florida Role Model Foundation was created to rebuild and restore the perception of Law Enforcement in the communities we serve. The South Florida Role Model Foundation was created to rebuild and restore the perception of Law Enforcement in the communities we serve. Each member has a vested interest in the people that live and work in our communities. We believe that CHANGE is a verb and can only come about through the efforts of our members. Every interaction with Law Enforcement is an opportunity to build trust. It is vital that our Vision is clear “We are together not us or them but WE!” The South Florida Role Models come from various walks of life ranging from Law enforcement officers to Single Parents, young adults, male, female and the Elderly. The knowledge of all must be harnessed to bring together CHANGE.

“We never gave a damn about the police. I thought the cops hated my brother. The South Florida Role Models showed us different. I didn’t even realize some of them were Police officers until I saw them one day in uniform. They cared. They taught us that Cops aren’t out to get us.”
